Alyson & Matthew Orrell – at Buxted Park 17th November 2011

When Alyson and Matthew opted for a wintery November day for their recent wedding at the stunning Buxted Park Hotel – they definitely did not expect everyone to still be enjoying one of the last day’s of our long Indian Summer! As their wedding photographer, the combination of this magical gold light, a beautiful couple and a stunning location was a match made in heaven.

Weddings at Buxted Park are always sophisticated elegant occasions, and with the gardens bursting with the beautiful colours of autumn it just provided the perfect backdrop to the day’s events. Alyson and Matthew had really put a lot of thought and time into planning their big day to suit them perfectly, and had included lots of details that really made it personal to them. Every wedding is different, but it is these little personal touches that make it yours – and as a photographer, these are the details we love to photograph too!

Florist Phillippa Craddock added to the elegance with beautiful classic flowers, and the rooms were dressed to perfection by Pollen. One of my favourite fellow suppliers, make up artist and hairstylist Amanda J Samain was with Alyson as she was getting ready, styling her hair and make up just perfectly to suit her elegant Suzanne Neville wedding dress. Alyson looked absolutely stunning and when she walked into the ceremony in the Coat of Arms room, the groom was so emotional, it really was a very special ceremony.

The hotel had even connected a Skype link up with Matthew’s brother who was unable to make the wedding. My favourite part of the day was the bride & groom portraits around the grounds of Buxted Park– the sun was nearly setting, the light was just perfect and we were spoilt for choice for stunning romantic locations, from the beautiful views across the countryside to the classic pillars of the building.

Alyson and Matthew just glowed with happiness, and the celebrations went on in the Ballroom long into the night. All in all a perfect day – big congratulations to Mr & Mrs Orrell!
